Dil Raju’s previous collaboration
with the debutante director Bhaskar had resulted in one of the biggest block busters
in recent times Bommarillu. Bommarillu
is the biggest grosser for Telugu films in Overseas Markets.
Besides being a spectacular commercial success, Bommarillu also swept several
Film Awards and bagged a record number of 7 Golden Nandi’s awarded by the State
Government of Andhra Pradesh. The Awards included the Golden Nandi for Best Director
and Best Producer. Bhaskar’s sensitive portrayal of human emotions and more so the
conflicts of the present day youth have won accolades from all quarters.
Now, the same duo of Producer
and Directors have teamed with Stylish Star Allu Arjun to do an encore. PARUGU promises
to be yet another Memorable depiction of the present day dilemmas of the youth,
their heart beats and the family bonding.
The film is said to be rich in entertainment. Music scored by popular music director
Mani Sharma will offer yet another memorable journey.
Allu Arjun has always shown
his keenness to come up with different films each time. Right from Gangothri to
Arya to Bunny to Happy to Desamuduru all have been very different from each other.
And this time Arjun is aiming to appeal to every one in the family with Parugu.
Interestingly, Dil Raju
also had solely acquired Shekhar Kammula’s HAPPY DAYS for distribution and the film
was a tremendous success all over and more so in the Overseas market. Happy Days
was one of the very few successful films in year 2007. Thanks to his understanding
of the pulse of audience and his envious success rate has made Dil Raju one of the
most sought after and bankable Producers in recent times.
PARUGU is slated for an
end April release across the world through KAD Entertainment.
KAD Entertainment had cut down its number of assignments last
year mainly owing to lack of compelling projects suited for the Overseas market
last year. KAD Entertainment hopes in 2008 Telugu Cinema
will have a GOOD RUN in the Overseas markets too with PARUGU setting
up the pace.
