Press Release:
DON TO SHINE IN THE GLOOM
December 16th, 2007 – Edison, NJ:
KAD iDream Entertainment
has acquired the
USA
theatrical and DVD rights for Nagarjuna’s DON.
After nearly two months with
no big releases and the last major hit being HAPPY DAYS, Tollywood is at an all
time low with major disappointments and requires a blockbuster to bring it out of
the shadow. Will Nagarjuna come to the rescue? Being
directed by
Lawrence
, Nagarjuna’s DON is scheduled for a Christmas release; and it is interesting to
note that all the Christmas releases of Nagarjuna have been major hits at the box
office. Nagarjuna’s DON movie is being released by KAD iDream Entertainment in the
states.
This is the second film from
the super hit combination of Nagarjuna and Lawrence, after their super successful
combination hit film “Mass”, which was also a Christmas release. “Just like my MASS
film gave a new definition to mass, DON film too will give a new definition to Don”
says confident Nagarjuna about this film. S. Gopal Reddy provided the cinematography
and Abburi Ravi penned extraordinary dialogues.
Music, composed by
Lawrence
has been appreciated by the masses.
Lawrence
is a true artist - he is a great choreographer, actor, director and now a music
director, it will be interesting to see what he comes up with next. In the states,
holiday season with the two Christmas and New Year long weekends will only add to
the excitement of the movie going public, who have been waiting for more than five
weeks for a new movie release. Hopefully the movie brings in the required change
that Tollywood requires and lives up to be a true entertainer.
