Sri Ramadasu special screenings to be organized by Indian Temples in USA
EDISON, New Jersey - July
4th 2006:
Sri Ramadasu apparently is one of the
most outstanding films released in this decade, only preceded by Annamayya
another film also from the same Director –Hero-Music Director trio. The film
has earned tremendous appreciation from all quarters from every corner of
the world. Even in USA where, KAD entertainment distributed the film it
recorded phenomenal turnouts. Audiences unanimously felt there could not
have been a more relevant time for such film to be made. Incidentally the
film also was released to a spectacular response in the South African
capital Durban . Many VIPs and dignitaries and black and white communities
to watched for many of whom it was an out of the world experience.
Now in view of the Cultural significance
of this movie to the Telugus’ in particular and to Indians in general, Kad
Entertainment has come up with a plan to utilize this opportunity to
propagate the films’ universal, spiritual message effectively by organizing
special screenings of Sri Ramadasu through Indian temples where part
(minimum of 50%) of the proceeds shall be given to such temples to be used
for relevant programs.
Already more than $5000 was raised for the S. V. Temple of Cary - Raleigh,
NC and more than $1000 was raised for Sri Venkateswara Temple of Cleveland,
OH through Sri Ramadasu screenings in their cities. Mr. Hima Kumar and Mr.
Siva Allu of Galaxy Theaters were responsible for raising these funds in
Cary - Raleigh, NC and Dr. Padma Bandi was responsible for the same in
Cleveland, OH.
Kad Entertainment has entered into
arrangements to this effect with a couple of more temples and is in talks
with the management of few other temples. Kad also invites movie exhibitors
associated with any and all other cultural and spiritual organizations
affiliated to Indian temples to communicate their willingness to participate
