Kad entertainment has
acquired the overseas screening and home video rights for the films Vishnu’s
Astram and Navdeep’s Seethakokachiluka.
Astram
marks the entry of South India’s most popular and leading Music label
Supreme Recording headed by Raju Harwani, into film production. The film
stars the gorgeous Anushka (‘Super’ fame) as the female lead, Popular Hindi
actor Jackie Shroff plays an important role. The film is shot on a lavish
scale and the music has already registered some chart toppers. Vishnu, son
of Telugu Film Industry’s Stalwart Hero Mohan Babu with his refreshing new
looks and bursting energy is said to have given a marvelous performance in
the role of an upright cop. The trade predicts a winner in this film. The
film is slated for 30th Jun release across the world.
It may be recalled that
Supreme Recording has also forayed into DVDs and Supreme DVD titles are
exclusively distributed by KAD in the USA and other overseas markets.
Representatives of Kad said they are glad to be distributing Supreme’s
maiden film production and hoped that Supreme would extend to their film
production the same high standards that their Music and DVD products stood
for over the years.
Seethakoka Chiluka is being made by the same production house that made the National
award winning K. Viswanath film Swarabhishekam last year. The film also
shares its name with the yesteryear-trendsetting musical blockbusting love
story of Bharati Raja. The producers promise that the coincidence will be
more than that of the title of the two films and would in all probability
extend to the formers envious success. Navdeep who made a very impressive
debut with director Teja’s film is yet to deliver a big hit, but is
confident that this will be one such opportunity. Sheela plays the female
lead. The film is slated for an early July release.
KAD is also re-releasing
musical blockbuster Devadasu,
a sensational hit in India, starring Ram and
Ileana.
