EDISON, New
Jersey, Apr 5th 2006:
The total number of people
who watched the now officially declared ‘Mega’ Hit Sri Ramadasu in the US
has exceeded the 10,000 mark. This is the highest ever turnout for any
Nagarjuna film in the US and only the second for any film in USA. But the
best is yet to come as per the theatre sources in all the major centers.
They say this film could/would bring in unprecedented number of viewers for
re-runs. As they say ever before in history they witnessed such collective
euphoria for any devotional film. It may not be an over statement to say
that almost every person who has watched came out moved and congratulated
the exhibitors for bringing such a great film to them. In view of the popular
demand Sri Ramadasu will continue its second straight weeks run in all major
centers in US.
In another unprecedented
gesture no less than the Megastar himself asked to convene a press meet to
share his appreciation of the film and Nagarjuna’s performance. The gesture
humbles me, Nagarjuna said during the press meet. For such a senior actor
like Chiranjeevi to encourage his colleague in such magnanimous manner is
really something.
6th April happens
to be Sri Ramanavami and it is annually celebrated in a grand manner in the
Bhadrachalam Temple of Lord Rama built by Ramadasu. But this year is going
to be unique. Sri Ramanavami will be celebrated all across the world along
with about 300 centers in Andhra pradesh, thanks to Sri Ramadasu. In many
theatres, exhibitors have arranged to perform the pooja and distribute
Prasadam.
So, all of you who missed out
on the divine festivities so far and those who want an encore join the
Celestial jamboree. Jai Sri Ram.
