Press Release:

Sri Ramadasu arrives in USA, One day before, just in time for UGADI

EDISON, New Jersey, Mar 30th 2006: ‘’Kings, Kingdoms, Empires and Emperors, all of us mortals will go, but this Temple will remain’’ thunders Kancharla Gopanna popularly known as Sri Ramadasu, (who comes alive superbly on celluloid through Telugu’s favorite star Nagarjuna) in the court of Nawab Abul Hussan shah known as ' Taneshah ' of Golkonda, when questioned about why and how he could construct the Temple without the Taneshah’s explicit consent.

Even off screen Nagarjuna echoed similar sentiments, when he said, this film could be a hit or even a super hit that wins lots of appreciation, but what really saddens me is the fact that our part in bringing this great story to silver screen is over and we now have to move on. How I wish we had the opportunity to work for some more time and be part of this great experience for longer.

That kind of sums up SRI RAMADASU, a great cinematic and spiritual experience in many many years to hit Cinemas in Telugu. SRI RAMADASU arrived in theatres across Andhra Pradesh, today on this VYAYA Nama Samvatsara UGADHI day (First day of Telugu New Year VYAYA) and is unanimously declared a SUPER HIT. Scores of delighted viewers confided that the movie is an extremely moving experience and they couldn’t control tears flowing down their cheeks on many occasions.

Good News is in store for audiences in US as sources of Kad Entertainment the overseas distributor for SRI RAMADASU confirmed that there will be simultaneous screenings of the film in most of the major centers in US on the same day i.e. 30th March. The sources said, in view of the severe inconvenience caused to the audiences due to late arrival of prints, rescheduling of shows etc., on the previous two occasions, they did not want to take any chance and hence have planned screenings from 31st March.

But the prints have reached well in time to enable us to have screenings in all major centers. (Please check out http://www.secondshows.com for latest show times.) That is great news, keeping in mind that it is a very auspicious day for the Telugus and there could be no better way to start it than by watching and experiencing a significant facet of the Telugu Cultural Heritage. JAI SRI RAM.
